Saints
The holy Pope Saint Celestine is invoked with the greatest success to obtain the most marked graces and favors and more particularly diseases of the genitals.
Saint Celestine was born in Rome. He was elected pope in 422. Carried to this supreme office by his virtues and his great humility, he led with a firm hand the church of which he was the head during the time that God left him to accomplish his task. It was to him that Ireland owed to become a Christian, for it was he who sent Saint Patrice to Ireland with the mission of evangelizing this hitherto pagan country.
Saint Celestine died in 432. He is particularly honored in Aquila, Italy.
INVOCATION
O God, who neither abandon nor confuse any of those who hope in you, I beg you, through your fatherly goodness and through the intercession of Saint Celestine, to give me filial trust in you, so that in all my necessities, sufferings and dangers, I take my recourse to you, for you know what is useful to me, and you can better help me. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Celestine, worthy object of the love of angels and men, you are our hope in all the sorrows of our life.
PRAYER
O my Jesus! I know the goodness of your heart for penitent sinners: I therefore reveal to you my wounds, my misery and my fears: for I know that I have sinned a lot in my life. I hope in the greatness of your mercies which surpasses the greatness of my crimes. Lower your compassionate gaze on me, O Jesus, my master and my king, God and man all together, who for us suffered the most cruel death on the cross. Hear an unhappy sinner who puts all his hope in you: always let the broad and abundant waves of your grace flow upon me. So be it.
