Protection
In the name of Almighty God, may evil Spirits depart from me and the good may serve as a bulwark against them!
Evil spirits who inspire men with bad thoughts;
Deceitful and lying spirits who deceive them; Mocking spirits who play on you with their credulity, I reject you with all the strength of my soul and close an ear to your suggestions ... but I call upon you the mercy of God.
Good Spirits who deign to assist me, give me the strength to resist the influence of evil Spirits, and the necessary enlightenment so as not to be fooled by their tricks. Preserve me from pride and presumption; remove from me jealousy, hatred, malevolence and all feelings contrary to charity which are so many doors open to the Spirit of Evil.
