Lord, Lord, God of pure spirits and of all flesh, remember all, those whom we have mentioned and all those whom we have not remembered and who have left this world with glorious faith. Give rest to their souls, to their bodies, to their spirits. Save them from future damnation and make them worthy of the joy that is in the bosom of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, where the light of your face shines, where pains, anguish and groaning are forbidden. . Do not attribute any fault to them; do not sue your servants, for no living being is justified in your presence and because no man on earth is free from sin and clean from all stain, except only Our Lord Jesus -Christ, your Son, through whom we also hope to obtain mercy and forgiveness for our sins and those of our dead.
Give rest to their souls; erase our faults and their faults, voluntarily or involuntarily committed before You, consciously or unconsciously.
Give rest, remit, forgive, O God, willful and involuntary sins, committed consciously or unconsciously, in words, in works or in actions, in secret thoughts, public, deliberate or committed in error, and which your holy Name knows.
Grant us a sinless Christian end, and bring us together at the feet of your elect when you want, where you want, as you want, without having to blush for our sins, so that in this as in all things may be highly praised and glorified your holy and blessed Name, the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ and of the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.

Losing a loved one is often a daunting ordeal.
If we consider death as the end of biological life, it is also a passage to the fullness of real life. Praying for a deceased person is asking that he or she may experience this passage of heavenly joy. Remember these words from Sacred Scripture: "It is a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be delivered from their sins" (2M 12:46).
