Prayer for the conversion of sinners

O God!
have mercy on me
who am only a sinner,
also let me pray to you
to have pity on others;
for you do not want the death of the sinner,
but you want us to come back all
to you by penance.

You couldn't resist Moses' prayer
that you urged to forgive
to a whole rebellious people.
You complain,
when there is no one
to resist your anger.
You order us to pray
for each other,
so that we may be saved;
and you assure us that by bringing back
a sinner of his error,
we deliver our soul from death
and we cover the multitude of our sins.
Lord, remember your mercy,
remember the Blood of Jesus Christ;
save the souls he redeemed
at such a high price,
and hear us with the merits of the Cross,
object of all our trust
and with all our hope.

So be it.
