Adorable cross of my Savior,
I am coming at this moment to devote myself to you.
Penetrated with respect for you,
pain for my sins,
of gratitude and love
for my divine Redeemer,
I come prostrate before you,
to conjure you to receive me in your arms.
I dedicate my thoughts, my words to you,
my feelings and my actions,
because I want everything in me
be marked with the seal of the cross.
But above all I want, O adorable Cross,
may you be engraved long before in my heart.
No it's not enough to have you under my eyes
to carry you on me;
it is in my heart that I want to place you;
this is where i want you to reign
to make Jesus Christ reign there
with you and by you.
O Jesus, my divine Redeemer,
who for love for me
have been tied to the cross
and breathed your last there,
imprint in my mind
the memory of your painful passion
and your holy death.
Burn your sacred wounds in my heart,
so that I can wear
with patience and love
all the crosses you want to send me.
Be yourself my strength and my consolation
in my sufferings and in my sorrows;
made by your grace,
that after having carried your cross
every day of my life,

Mercy comes from the Latin misereri which means to have mercy and cor (heart).
Mercy is the deep attitude of the being characterised by the loving disposition to forgive. Sensitivity to the misery and suffering of others and a fundamental benevolence towards one's neighbour. This is one of the attributes of God that explains his entire plan for the salvation of humanity.
God's goodness is infinite because it is one aspect of his mercy (Ps 86:5).
