Saints healing physical illnessesSaint John Chrysostom, holy doctor of the Church, is invoked against hypertension.
Saint John Chrysostom, was born in Antioch between 344 and 349, and died in 407 near Comana, he was Archbishop of Constantinople and was one of the fathers of the Greek Church. His eloquence is the origin of his nickname "Chrysostom" (in ancient Greek "Golden Mouth"). However, his rigor and reformist zeal led him to exile and death.
INVOCATION:
Lord, our God and our Father, increase your grace every day in our souls, and grant us your assistance through the merits of Blessed John Chrysostom. Do not let the memory of your infinite goodnesses fade from our hearts, and grant us all the graces we ask of you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint John Chrysostom, safe refuge for the sick, pray for us.
PRAYER:
O my crucified Jesus, come into my heart which loves you, and prepare a home for your heart in mine. Heavenly desires of the heart of Jesus, henceforth reign in me. Holy flames of the love of Jesus, kindle me with love for him. So be it.
