Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, let me sow pardon.
Where there is discord, let me unite.
Where there is error, I may bring truth.
Where there is doubt, let me put faith.
Where there is despair, let me put hope.
Where the darkness is, let me put the light.
Where there is sadness, let me put joy. O Lord, that I'm not looking so much
to be consoled than to console,
to be understood than to understand,
to be loved than to love.
Because it is by giving that we receive,
it is by forgetting that we find ourselves again,
it is by forgiving that we obtain forgiveness,
It is by dying that we are resurrected to Life.
