ProtectionBefore any prayer of deliverance, it is recommended to say the following prayer:
OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN,
You are my refuge and the rock of my salvation. Nothing escapes you that happens to me. I am your servant and I bear your name. I thank you for giving me the helmet of salvation. It is in your Son Jesus that I am what I am. Nothing can ever separate me from your love.
I thank You for forgiving my sins and blotting out my guilt. I now clothe myself with your breastplate of justice.
May the Holy Spirit scrutinize and expose every strategy of darkness directed against me. I grasp the shield of Faith to stand in the Word of God which tells me: "To destroy the works of the devil the Son of God appeared".
Therefore, Holy Father, in the glorious Name of your Firstborn Son Jesus Christ, and by the authority which comes to me from my Baptism, I RENOUNCE Satan, his seductions and his works, whatever their origin: occultism, spiritism or witchcraft, and with the faith which You, O Father, have given me, I proclaim: let all that he has done in my life be destroyed.
Jesus, you are my Lord and my Saviour, you have triumphed over him: in the desert, on the Cross and in the tomb, and you have overcome him forever by your glorious Resurrection, sealing his end and his fate. In You, I too triumph over him by the power of your Holy Name, before which "every knee bends in heaven and on earth and in hell".
Therefore, Lord, through the power of your Name, I resist all the efforts of the devil to overwhelm, torment or deceive me, and I oppose with all my strength his attempt to rob me of the joy and fruit of my salvation. By the power of your most Precious Blood shed for me on Calvary, I ask You to remove from me all the powers of darkness that attack and beset me, and to command them to go at once wherever You will, Lord, so that they may never return again.
