SaintsSaint Lucy or Lucia was born in Scotland of royal blood. This princess, to whom life promised so much pleasure and greatness, preferred to consecrate herself to God and the poor and came to France to live in poverty and humility.
INVOCATION:
Almighty and eternal God, by your grace, may our will and our affections be consecrated to you alone, like those of Saint Princess Lucia, whom we venerate in a special way and to whose protection we ask today the great favour we expect from your goodness. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Lucia of Scotland, who is for us, in God's presence, the channel of the most special favours, pray for us.
LET US PRAY:
O my Jesus! I desire with all my heart your holy passion, source of beatitude for me and for the whole world. I will not cease to ask you for this precious good, which you have not granted me, and I offer you in exchange all that I possess, and my whole being. May your passion fill my soul and my body. Give Me, O Jesus, your passion, which is my light, my life, my salvation, and my all; and I agree not to ask you for any other consolation during my whole life. So be it.
