O Mother of Mercy
we entrust to Your heart and Your love
the entire people and Church of this earth.
Keep us from all injustice, from all division
from all violence and war.
Keep us from the temptation and slavery of sin and evil.
Be with us!
Help us to overcome doubt with faith,
selfishness by service,
pride by gentleness,
hatred with love.
Help us to live the Gospel and the folly of the Cross
so that we may rise with your Son to true life,
with the Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit.
O Mother of Christ, be our comfort
and give strength to all those who suffer
the poor, the lonely, the sick
the unloved, the abandoned.
Give peace to our divided world ;
and to all, the light of hope. Amen.
