Saints
Saint Andrew had the joy of dying on a cross like his Master. This cross had a particular shape that has since been called the cross of Saint Andrew.
While he was on trial, threatened with the torture of the cross if he did not renounce his faith, Saint Andrew calmly replied: "If I feared the torture of the cross, I would not preach the greatness of the cross. And when he saw the cross, he cried out: "I come to you with joy, return me to my divine Master. "
He is the great protector of those who are unjustly accused and who can always usefully invoke him.
Women who do not have children come to him and obtain them, through his intercession.
Invocation
O God who, through the ministry of Blessed Andrew, caused the seed of the Gospel to germinate, hear our prayers, and let us feel the sweet effects of the intercession of your holy apostle with your divine Majesty. We beg you, by N.-S. AD So be it.
Saint Andrew, especially invoked by those who are unjustly accused, and by sterile women, pray for us and assist us.
Prayer
O my Jesus, Only Begotten of the Eternal Father, our Master and our King, what have you left in this world as an inheritance to your children? Ah! You have possessed here below only poverty, fatigue, misery, sufferings and pains, contempt and derision of men, and the wood of the holy cross, in order to die there for us. Since we are your children, we cannot renounce this precious legacy that you have left us; we cannot reject your passion, and refuse to suffer for you. Therefore, Lord, let me become conformed to you, suffering for you, since my sins were the cause of your cruel death, and your five wounds be like my coat of arms, for which I am always ready to suffer and to die for your glory. So be it.
