Psalm of David. Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my supplications! Hear me in your faithfulness, in your righteousness!

Do not enter into judgment with your servant! Because no living is right in front of you.

The enemy pursues my soul, He crushes my life to the ground; He makes me dwell in darkness, Like those who are long dead.
143.4
My spirit is downcast inside of me, My heart is troubled in my bosom.

I remember the days of old, I meditate on all your works, I reflect on the work of your hands.

I extend my hands to you; My soul longs for you, like a parched earth. Pause.
143.7
Hasten to hear me, O Lord! My mind is consumed. Do not hide your face from me! I would be like those who go down to the pit.

Let me hear your goodness in the morning! Because I trust you. Let me know the path where I must walk! For I lift up my soul to you.
143.9
Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord! Near you I seek refuge.
143.10
Teach me to do your will! Because you are my God. May your good spirit lead me on the right path!
143.11
Give life to me because of your name, O Lord! In your righteousness, remove my soul from distress!
143.12
In your lovingkindness destroy my enemies, And destroy all the oppressors of my soul! For I am your servant.
