Saint Anthony of Padua appeared in a dream to a Portuguese woman who had invoked him because she was violently driven to suicide by the demon. He handed her a parchment that she always had to carry with her. In fact, when she woke up, she found it hanging from her neck, with the few lines quoted below. This prayer was so effective that King Denis (the Liberal 1279-1325) who then reigned over Portugal, wanted the parchment. As soon as the woman was deprived of it, she fell back under the power of the demon. So he was given an exact copy, and everything was fine. (See the origin of this soul disposition in Dt 11:18).
