Prayer against fear
Blessed Saint Gilles, God has granted you the power to help men against fear.
We beg you, protect us against all fear and fear. Obtain for us courage in the dangers and trials of our world, strength in temptations. Ask us for perseverance in the accomplishment of our daily duty: that each one, to the extent of his possibilities through his work and his initiatives, strives to make life more human, more fraternal. Thus, there will be less fear for those who have a hard profession, for foreigners who have to work far from home,
for all those who have to raise a family, for those who want more peace and justice and who work. for that in the world. There is, however, a fear that we must have, that of displeasing God by doing or accepting evil. So ask with us and for us the precious gift of living in the love of God, remembering that Jesus taught us that for this we must love one another as He loved us. Help us especially in our last moments. Help us to keep our hearts open to the friendship of God, to always believe in his merciful love and to entrust ourselves to his goodness as a Father. Amen!
