Saints healing physical illnessesSaint Theobald is confidently invoked against all kinds of diseases and especially for painful and deformed joints.
INVOCATION:
We implore you, Lord, by the merits of Saint Theobald, to surround us with your protection, to preserve us or to cure us of the diseases which can reach us. May the protection of your holy priest be for us, O my God, a safeguard against the pains of this life and against the enemies of our salvation at the hour of our death. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Theobald, who preserve and heal from any malignant and contagious fever, pray for us and for the sick who have painful joints.
PRAYER:
He who ascended for me on an ignominious cross, and who suffered the most lamentable death, is a God who deigned to put on my nature. Oh my God! therefore consider the work of your infinite love. See your dear Son: how his whole body is stretched out on the cross! See his hands dripping with innocent blood, and forgive me the sins I have committed with mine. See its side pierced with a cruel spear, and wash me in the life-giving water that flowed from it. Consider his sacred feet, which never walked in the paths of iniquity; and see how they are nailed to the cross. By its merits, hear me. So be it.
