Saint Anthony of Padua is invoked to find lost objects. We know how effective his intercession is.
Women who long for children recommend themselves to him to obtain the cessation of their infertility.
Women about to give birth invoke it for a happy deliverance and speedy recovery.
Saint Anthony was born in Lisbon in 1195. At the age of 15, he entered the Order of Canons Regular of Saint Augustine. But soon he felt that God was calling him to his service in the Order of St. Francis. He went to Italy and was placed in the kitchen of a Franciscan convent. Soon his virtues, his eloquence, his knowledge and his humility made him notice his superiors who confided to him high offices and sent him to preach in many universities. Saint Anthony of Padua was a great miracle worker. His preaching and miracles attracted so many conversions that he was called "Hammer of the Heretics."

Invocation
We beg you, Lord, to give us as intercessor with you Saint Anthony of Padua, whose virtues and miracles owe you their merit, their brilliance and their glory. Let us repeat with Saint Bonaventure: "O blessed tongue, who have always praised God and who have worked so worthily to have him praised, your merit now appears before everyone, and you receive the reward of Him who created you for an action. so glorious. "
Saint Anthony of Padua, whom we implore effectively for the search for lost or stolen things, which travelers invoke with complete confidence, pray for us.

Prayer
O Jesus! Innocent Lamb of God, I thank you for the ardent thirst you felt on the cross, when you cried in a plaintive voice: I am thirsty! To appease him, we didn't have even a drop of water to offer you, but only vinegar and gall. Ah! poor Jesus, abandoned by men, I beg you to present this thirst to your Heavenly Father, for all the sins that I have committed by eating and drinking with excess or greed. So be it.

BRIEF OF SAINT ANTHONY
This brief, or formula, was given by Saint Anthony himself to heal a person who was driven to despair and suicide by the demon's persecutions.
The many graces obtained by this brief invite us to carry it and have it carried, written on parchment, more particularly by the sick, the afflicted, the desperate.
