Saints healing physical illnessesWe invoke Saint Foy against heart troubles.
INVOCATION:
Lamb of God who was slain on the cross and continues your sacrifice on our altars every day, have mercy on me.
O Jesus, victim of love which you are so freely given to us, have mercy on me.
O good Jesus, I implore you by the prayers and merits of Saint Foy, deliver me from the discomforts from which I suffer. So be it.
Saint Foy, who has in heaven the privileged place of the chosen ones, intercede for me, pray for me.
PRAYER:
O that I should have low and low thoughts of myself! That I should think little of the good in me!
O that I should humble myself deeply, Lord, before your impenetrable judgments, where I am lost as in an abyss, and see that I am nothing but nothingness and pure nothingness!
O great weight! O sea without shores, where I find nothing of myself, where I disappear like nothing in the midst of everything! Where then is pride hidden? Where is confidence in one's own virtue?
All vanity is extinguished in the depths of your judgments on me. What is all flesh before you? Shall clay rise up against him that formed it?
How can he whose heart is truly subject to God swell with vain praise?
The whole world cannot inspire pride in him whom the truth has subjected to its dominion, and he whose hope is established in God will never be moved by the applause of men. For those who speak are nothing; they will fade away with the noise of their words, but the truth of the Lord abides forever. So be it.
