Saints
Saint Christantien is invoked to be preserved from hail, storms and all violent winds.
It is also invoked to be preserved or cured of the flu.
Saint Christantian was born in Italy during the times of persecution and was martyred for refusing to sacrifice to false gods. Miracles erupted immediately after his death and a small village in Italy adopted him as a protector, and a terrible flu epidemic ravaged the region, but not one inhabitant of that village was affected.
INVOCATION
Grant us, Almighty God, we beseech you, through the prayers of your blessed martyr, the assistance we need during these times of hail and storm; may your infinite goodness, O my God, preserve us from all danger. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Christantien, who bring us calm in storms and save us from the ravages of hail and flu, pray for us.
PRAYER
O passion of Jesus! In you is my hope: wounds of Jesus, in you is my confidence. Blood of Jesus, in you is my assurance. O death of Jesus! In you I have the certainty that my Jesus is favorable to me. So be it.
