Saint Paternus is especially invoked in favour of married women to obtain the cessation of sterility.
Saint Paternus was born around 490 of Breton parents. Driven by the love of God, he entered the monastic orders and his sanctity was so evident that he was appointed superior of his convent.
God granted him the power to cast out demons and heal all kinds of diseases.

INVOCATION:
Lord, listen to our humble prayers so that, recognizing your goodness and your power, to which nothing is impossible, we obtain the grace that we ask of you through the intercession of the blessed bishop Saint Paternus, and that we may glorify you eternally with him. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Paternus, whom we invoke so effectively on behalf of sterile women, pray for us.

PRAYER:
O my Jesus, my liberator and my redeemer, I always want to honor you with the holiness of my life: I always want to prove my gratitude to you, by faithfully fulfilling all my duties. I want to imitate your virtues with constant zeal; I want to take your cross on me every day, and carry it throughout my life, until my last hour; so that I may become worthy to praise you and to glorify you one day in heaven. So be it.
