Novena Jean Pliya ProtectionWith this novena, sincere Christians persecuted by the evil spells that their enemies are relentlessly casting on them, will be permanently protected against other evil spells or curses, as well as their families and all other sincere Christians whom they will include in their prayers. No one will be able to harm them any more.
The Son of God appeared to destroy the works of the devil" (1Jn 3:8). Satan, the "prince of this world, the father of lies", was defeated by Jesus, over whom he has no power (1Jn 14:30), but he still attacks the Church, the body of Christ, and therefore believers. Believers must be vigilant and pray in faith for their liberation, deliverance and protection, putting on "the armour of God" (Eph 6:13).
Pope Paul VI said that one of the most important needs of the Church today is to defend herself against that evil which we call the devil. His influence is manifested in the denial of God, wickedness, cruelty against the innocent and hostility, murderous hatred against the followers of Jesus, perversion and corruption of moral values, destruction of the family. St. Paul warns us: "Let us not be deceived by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his designs" (2 Cor 2:11). Let us not be manipulated by the agents of evil. Divination or fortune-telling is the pernicious source of their knowledge, sorcery or magic the source of their power and might. They cause havoc and torment in the lives of their victims. Today, the battle against the Catholic Church and Christian believers is fiercer than ever, orchestrated by the New Age and its satellites in false religions and esoteric sects or orders. Their weapons of choice are ideological seduction, false prosperity based on quick and easy money, infiltration of Church structures.
Occult practices against our persons and also our own idolatrous acts of unbelief subject us to satanic oppression with serial inexplicable failures, incomprehensible accidents, unusual noises around us. Obsession is characterised by an inner action of the demon on the psychic level, nightmares, blasphemous words, erotic visions, linked to open doors, to the action of the demon, to the frequentation of mediums, occultist healers, fetishists, diviners and marabouts, etc., or finally to the effect of practices done against us, without our knowledge.
The prayers in this book will enable believers to "submit to God and resist the devil, so that he may flee from them" (James 4:7). When the Lord tells us, as he did to King Jehoshaphat (2Chr 20:15), that the battle being waged is not our battle but God's, he nevertheless asks us to take our stand on the battlefield and praise him.
Our spiritual weapons that have the power to overthrow strongholds are: faith in Jesus Christ, the Word of God, the Name of Jesus, love, truth, forgiveness, praise, thanksgiving, blessing, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit through the sacraments of the Catholic Church.
We are but a channel and instrument of God's mercy for the dissemination of the basic prayers in this book, which were first published in summary form. They have already enabled thousands of people to experience the protective and liberating power of the risen Christ and to give eloquent testimony to the glory of God.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, believe that Jesus is the Lord of your life. Trust in Him; do not be afraid any longer! Accept and decide to pray to Him to be freed and protected by the invincible power of the Holy Spirit.
Glory to the Father, glory to the Son Jesus our Lord and glory to the Spirit of love and truth.

The fruits of the novena:
With this novena, sincere Christians persecuted by the evil spells that their enemies cast on them with relentlessness, will be protected definitively against other evil spells or curses, as well as their families and all the other sincere Christians that they will include in their prayer. No one will be able to harm them.
During this novena of protection, do not be discouraged if you feel that you are facing new attacks that you are not expecting. From now on, graces of truth and blessing will come into your life. During the novena, your enemies, if you have any, may reveal themselves to you either by phoning, trying to tempt you, to get information about you, or to initiate different attacks, for example by offering you infested objects, asking you for an insignificant sum of money, etc. Do not fall into the trap. If they do, it means that their previous methods no longer work. They don't know what to do, they are desperate and pushed to the limit.
Doing this novena will flush out all your enemies, who will unmask themselves. Do not stop the novena midway, nor miss a day. Go to the end so that your enemies do not take advantage of your slackness to counter-attack.
ATTACKS AGAINST THE PUBLICATION OF THIS NOVENA

SPIRITUAL PREPARATION It is recommended to start this novena either on a feast day of the Church that proclaims the victory of Christ over the forces of evil and death (Ash Wednesday, Easter Sunday, Christmas, Corpus Christi,
Ascension, Christ the King, Pentecost, Feast of the Holy Trinity, etc.), or on the feast of a Church festival celebrating the Virgin Mary (Annunciation, Visitation, Assumption, Our Lady of Lourdes, etc.), or on the feast day of a great Doctor of the Church or a saint who has had a particular struggle against the forces of evil (Saint Thérèse of the Infant Jesus and of the Holy Face, Saint Jean-Marie Vianney the Curé d'Ars, Saint Benedict, Saint Joseph, Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, etc )
It is advisable to confess during the novena, because the devil hates humility. For this confession, the particular points to be examined are:
If you can, take communion every day for the intentions of your novena during the daily mass. Offer your communion and your sufferings for the conversion of your enemies and hand over to the Lord with confidence the whole situation you are going through. "Take all your anxiety to Him, for He takes care of you" (1 Pet 5:7)
After a prayer of deliverance or an exorcism, it is advisable to do this novena so that the demon never comes back into your life through the esotericism practiced against you. Except for special graces, this novena does not replace a prayer of deliverance or an exorcism, but it prevents new persecutions from coming. Depending on the case, it can however bring deliverance, especially in the absence of a priest exorcist available in your diocese or region.
THE IMPORTANCE OF FORGIVING AND CASTING OUT THE SPIRIT OF FEAR
"Therefore I say to you: whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have already received it, it will be given to you. And when you are praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses" (Mk 11:24-25)
If you know or suspect enemies who persecute or harm you, or even if you do not know them, it is recommended that you take a step of forgiveness towards them.
"Provided there has been a good confession and repentance, a quiet prayer to drive out any darkness or evil power may suffice, and in the case of oppression or infestation, deliverance may take place without even mentioning the words "demon" or "spirits". "Because of its very great importance, a special remark must always be made about the forgiveness of the heart. Sometimes one knows with great certainty what is causing the trouble.
Or one may find oneself in situations of tension with family members or others as a result of serious harm. It is then necessary to forgive with all one's heart, abandoning all resentment and praying intensely for these people. In many cases, this was the way to remove the obstacles to grace and obtain deliverance.
Forgiving wholeheartedly means not holding grudges, praying for those who have hurt us, blessing them, loving them, as Jesus has loved us. It is especially effective to speak words of blessing to those who hurt us. "Bless those who curse you, pray for those who defame you (Lk 6:28) and do not live in fear. On page 24 you have a suggested prayer to forgive one's enemies and to drive out the spirit of fear.

Jean Pliya represented Africa as a lay person at the 1994 Synod of Bishops of Africa and Madagascar in Rome. He was National Leader of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Benin. A renowned evangelizer and preacher, Jean Pliya has worked in Senegal, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Togo, Gabon, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Switzerland, France, America, Reunion Island, French Guiana and Martinique.
