45.1
(45: 1) To the Chief Musician. On the lilies. Of the sons of Korah. Canticle. Love song. (45: 2) Charming words boil in my heart. I say: My work is for the king! May my tongue be like the pen of a skilful writer!

(45: 3) Thou art the most beautiful of the sons of man, Grace is poured out on thy lips: Therefore God has blessed thee forever.

(45: 4) A mighty warrior, gird on your sword, your adornment and your glory,

(45: 5) Yes, your glory! -Be victorious, get on your chariot, Defend truth, meekness and justice, And let your right hand be marked by marvelous exploits!

(45: 6) Your arrows are sharp; Peoples will fall under you; They will pierce the hearts of the king's enemies.

(45: 7) Thy throne, O God, is forever; The scepter of your reign is a scepter of fairness.

(45: 8) You love righteousness and hate wickedness: Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you with the oil of joy, for a privilege over your colleagues.

(45: 9) Myrrh, aloes and cassia perfume all your clothes; In the ivory palaces the stringed instruments rejoice you.

(45:10) Daughters of kings are among your loved ones; The queen is on your right, adorned with gold from Ophir.

(45:11) Listen, my daughter, see, and give ear; Forget your people and your father's house.

(45:12) The king bears his desires on your beauty; Since he is your lord, pay him your respects.

(45:13) And, with gifts, the daughter of Tire, the richest of the people will seek your favor.
