Virgin Mary
O Mary, give us attentive hearts,
humble and gentle
to welcome with tenderness and compassion
all the poor you send our way.
Give us hearts full of mercy
to love and serve them,
extinguish all discord
and see in our suffering and broken brothers and sisters
the presence of the living Jesus.
Lord, bless us with the hand of your poor. Lord, smile upon us in the eyes of your poor. Lord, receive us one day into the happy company of your poor. We pray Amen!
