Blessing
Bless Christ, Son of God,
Who agreed to be called the carpenter's son. Glory be to you, Lord!
All of you: Glory be to you, Lord.
God established man on earth to have possession and control until the new heavens and the new earth are established, according to the words of the apostle St. Paul:"All things are yours, but you are Christ's, and Christ is God's. "(1 Corinthians 3:23). In order to achieve this goal, man has equipped himself with appropriate instruments, which in a certain way come into play in the work of creation and redemption of the world. For this provision of his providence, let us bless God and ask him also to give man himself help, support and protection in his work.
1 Th 4, 9-10b-12
As far as brotherly love is concerned, you do not need me to tell you about it, for you yourselves have learned from God to love one another.
Brothers, we encourage you to make further progress: have at heart to live calmly, to do each one what you have to do and to work with your hands as we have commanded you. In this way, your conduct will deserve the respect of people outside, and you will not need the help of others.

A short biblical commentary to help us grasp the meaning of the celebration through faith.
God established man in the world to work it and keep it. It is He too who impels man's spirit to cooperate through his intelligence and work in the progress of creation.
Let us bless him:
Ref. Blessed art Thou, Lord, God of the universe Thou who askest man to work
To bring to completion the world you created... Ref.
You who gave work its dignity
By making man your cooperator in the world... Ref.
You who enlighten man with your wisdom
That the works he undertakes may glorify your name And that the whole earth may resound with your praise... Ref.
You who sent your Son into the world,
He who sanctified and exalted work with the sweat of his brow... Ref.
You who inspires men with every good work and helps them to accomplish it... Ref.
God who brings down your blessing on men, God to whom every prayer rises to bless you,
In your goodness, protect your servants
Who come to you with their instruments of work; grant them to work with courage.
By thus contributing to the progress of humanity
And in bringing your creation to completion in Christ. He who reigns for ever and ever.
Amen. Or:
Lord, you want men to work to harness the energies of the world;
Do not allow that mastery to turn to their enslavement, But let mankind, working together,
Creation reaches its completion in Christ. He who reigns for ever and ever.
All of them: Amen
Christ Jesus wanted to work with his hands for the salvation of mankind.
May his support be our comfort and may he give us his peace.
All of us: Amen.

A blessing is a grace, a favour granted by God. Through priests and all other people (religious, traditionalists or simple faithful) who may be at a certain moment in a state of benevolence to bless, it is always God Almighty who acts.
When a person is blessed, whatever good he or she does is bound to succeed, whatever the difficulties.
In everyday life, believers of all religions and beliefs often use blessed objects (bibles, candles, rosaries, crosses, etc.).
touteslesprieres.com gathers through the keyword blessing, prayers to ask for blessing, to bless places, objects of piety and everything that may require a blessing.
