Saints healing physical illnesses
Saint Stephen is invoked for the cure of amnesiacs.
Saint Stephen was the first martyr. Saint Luke said of him that he was "filled with faith, filled with wisdom, filled with grace, filled with strength and filled with the Holy Spirit".
His miracles were numerous and unleashed jealousy. So Saint Stephen was dragged before his enemies and loudly proclaimed the divinity of Jesus Christ. So they took him out of the city and stoned him, while Saint Stephen, calm and smiling, begged God to forgive his murderers.
Saint Stephen is honored on December 26, his feast day. He is particularly venerated in Besançon where his relics are found, which have been the intermediary of many miracles.
INVOCATION
O God, who are glorified in the assembly of all the holy martyrs, accept our humble prayers, so that we deserve to be helped by him who knew how to please you. May Saint Stephen constantly intercede for us, who have recourse to you. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Stephen, who is the hope of the sick and of all who are afflicted, pray for us.
PRAYER
O Jesus, broken by the most cruel sufferings, I go over in my mind the anguish that you felt in your adorable heart on the tree of the cross, considering the great number of souls for whom your passion and your death must have been useless: and I pray you offer to your heavenly Father all this bitterness of your heart, when I am about to die, in atonement for all the sins that I have committed in my heart. So be it.
