Invocation to Saint Bonaventure ( born Giovanni di Fidanza) against stroke or apoplexy attacks

Saint Bonaventure is invoked by people prone to stroke.
Saint Bonaventure was born in Italy in 1221. As a child he was very seriously ill and his mother begged Saint Francis of Assisi to heal him; the saint began to pray and the child was healed.
Subsequently, Saint Bonaventure followed Saint Francis; still young, he was elected General of the Franciscans. He died in 1274 after a life of love and humility.

INVOCATION
Do not allow, Lord, these attacks of apoplexy to be repeated; my life is in danger; remove this disease from me and preserve me in your great goodness. By the merits of your saints and by the powerful intercession of Saint Bonaventure, I have the firm confidence that I will henceforth be protected. I ask you for the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ and for the intercession of Saint Bonaventure. So be it.
Saint Bonaventure, our protector, pray for us.

PRAYER
Adorable Father, consider the torn limbs of your divine Son, and gaze with compassion on our weakness. Consider the sufferings of your Son made man, and alleviate the miseries of humanity. Consider the sufferings of the Redeemer, and forgive the sins of those whom he has redeemed for his sake. It is you, O my God, who struck him because of our sins, although he is your beloved Son, the object of all your indulgence. Although he was innocent, since no crime could be found in him, he was placed among the criminals. So be it.
