I give you thanks, Lord God,

for all the pain I am experiencing;
I ask you, my Lord,
to send me a hundred times more
if that is your pleasure.
Because I would gladly accept
that you grieve me without sparing me,
since it is a superabundant consolation for me
than to do your most holy will.
Amen.
