Psalm 72
72.1
From Solomon. O God, give your judgments to the king, and your righteousness to the king's son.
72.2
He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with righteousness.
72.3
The mountains will bring peace to the people, and the hills also, by the effect of your righteousness.
72.4
He will uphold the poor of the people, He will save the children of the poor, And he will crush the oppressor.
72.5
You will be feared as long as the sun remains, As long as the moon appears, from generation to generation.
72.6
It will be like rain falling on mown ground, Like showers watering the countryside.
72.7
In his days the righteous will flourish, and great peace will be until there is no more moon.
72.8
He will rule from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.
72.9
Before him the inhabitants of the wilderness will bow their knees, and his enemies will lick the dust.
72.10
The kings of Tarshish and the isles will pay tribute, the kings of Sheba and Sheba will give gifts.
72.11
All kings will bow down to him; all nations will serve him.
72.12
For he will deliver the poor who cry, and the poor who have no help.
72.13
He will have pity on the poor and needy, And he will save the lives of the poor;
72.14
He will set them free from oppression and violence, and their blood will be valuable in his sight.
72.15
They shall live, and give him gold from Sheba; They will pray for him without ceasing, they will bless him every day.
72.16
The corn will abound in the land on the top of the mountains, and their ears will flutter like the trees of Lebanon; Men will flourish in the cities like the grass of the earth.
72.17
His name will endure forever, As long as the sun his name endures; Through him we will bless one another, And all the nations will call him happy.
72.18
Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone works wonders!
72.19
Blessed be his glorious name forever! May all the earth be filled with his glory! Amen! Amen!
