Psalm 27
27.1
From David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the support of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?
27.2
When the wicked come against me, To devour my flesh, They are my persecutors and my enemies Who stumble and fall.
27.3
If an army were encamped against me, My heart would have no fear; If a war arose against me, I would still be full of confidence.
27.4
I ask the Lord one thing, which I long for: I would like to dwell all my life in the house of the Lord, To behold the magnificence of the Lord And to admire his temple.
27.5
For he will protect me in his tabernacle in the day of trouble; he will hide me under the shelter of his tent; He will raise me up on a rock.
27.6
And already my head rises above my enemies who surround me; I will offer sacrifices in his tent at the sound of the trumpet; I will sing, I will praise the Lord.
27.7
Eternal! listen to my voice, I call on you: Have mercy on me and hear me!

27.8
My heart says for you: Seek my face! I seek your face, O Lord!
27.9
Do not hide your face from me; do not reject your servant in anger. You are my help, do not leave me, do not abandon me, God of my salvation!
27.10
For my father and my mother forsake me, but the Lord will welcome me.
27.11
Eternal! teach me your way; lead me in the path of righteousness because of my enemies.
27.12
Do not hand me over to the pleasure of my adversaries, For there are false witnesses against me, And people who breathe nothing but violence.
27.13
Oh! if I were not sure that I saw the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living! ...
27.14
Hope in the Lord! Strengthen yourself and may your heart be strengthened! Hope in the Lord!
