May 9: Prayer of Saint Catherine of Siena
O Mary, Temple of the Trinity, O Mary, bearer of fire, Mary, dispenser of mercy, Mary, who made the divine fruit sprout!
O Mary, calm sea, dispenser of peace, Mary, fruitful earth. You are the new tree that bore the fragrant flower of the Word, the only Son of God. In you, fruitful earth, the Word was sown. You are both the earth and the tree. Blessed art thou, O Mary, among women for ever, for on this day thou hast given us the bread of thy flour: the divinity has been united and kneaded with humanity, so strongly that nothing henceforth, neither death nor our ingratitude, shall be able to break the union.
Let us pray: Mary, in this month dedicated to you, I come to you. You know all the intentions of my heart, I trust in you and in your intercession with Jesus your Son, our Saviour. Listen to my prayer...(express your intentions in silence)
