Understanding family
Lord, we entrust our love to You so that it may never die. May its source be in You, so that each of us may seek to love more than to be loved, to give more than to receive.
May the days of joy not bog us down in indifference to the rest of the world.
May the days of sorrow not disempower us but cement our love.
Lord, you who are Life, give us the power to never refuse the life that will be born of our love.
Lord, you who are the Truth, give us never to refuse the truth but to remain transparent to each other.
Lord, you who are the Way, give us the grace to never weigh ourselves down but to go forward hand in hand.
Lord, you gave us Mary, your Mother, who was always faithful, strong and tender: may she be the guardian of the family we are founding today.
May her fidelity, strength and tenderness keep us faithful, strong and tender... forever! Amen.

Understanding between people is a very important element that conditions peace and cohesion. The Evil One knows this and always seeks to create divisions and conflicts. Satan knows that he has to rely on misunderstanding in his malicious aims. His main objective is therefore to destroy families. Because he knows that in the family, if there is mutual understanding between all family members, he will never succeed in any of his evil deeds. So he pits brothers and sisters against each other, children become disobedient and see their parents as enemies. Wars are created between families, neighbours, clans, countries, religions...
In order to prevent Satan, the terrible evil one before the Lord, from achieving his objectives of harm, we must seek to cultivate and perpetuate Understanding in our living environments, in our families, in our countries...
Prayer remains at the base, the only and most powerful weapon that can infuse us with the inner peace that will transform us, making each of us an instrument of peace that will spread understanding and harmony around us.
