Lord God, I thank you for bringing this day to a close:
I thank you for soothing my body and my soul. Your hand was upon me and guarded and preserved me. Forgive my lack of faith and all the evil of this day.
Help me to forgive those who have wronged me. Let me sleep peacefully in your keeping and preserve me from the temptations of the night. I entrust to you my family and this house, my body and my soul. May your holy name be praised.
