SaintsSaint Willebrod or Willibrord felt the zeal of the service of God devour his soul and was ordained a priest at the age of 33 and set out to evangelize the barbarians of the North. God favored his servant and many pagans were converted. But the demon, furious at losing his dominion, seized the bodies of the new converts. Saint Willebrod or Willibrord, by the sign of the cross and by holy water, always drove him away.
INVOCATION:
What thanksgiving do I not have to give you, O Jesus, for the inestimable gift of faith, for this union with your holy Church which allows me to participate in the merits of your saints and to share in the particular gifts? that you have left them, in order to relieve us and to console us in all our sufferings and our sorrows. We bless you for this, through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Willebrod, safe haven for those who call on you against convulsions, pray for us.
PRAYER:
Let my soul, whom you have deigned to marry by your love and your blood, consider itself as a poor widow who many times already have been separated by sin from her true husband. Alas! my soul recognizes her widowhood, and she longs to unite with you. Deign therefore to receive, as an engagement present, my soul and my body which I offer to you and abandon you in full ownership. They should no longer be mine, but yours alone, who bought them so dearly with your precious blood. So be it.
