SaintsSaint Jouin is especially invoked against toothache and for sick children.
INVOCATION:
Trust in the Lord forever; for the rock of the ages is in the Lord our God. For he will bring down those who dwell in high places; he will humble the beautiful city: he will humiliate it to the earth, he will bring it down to the dust. The foot, even the feet of the afflicted, and the soles of the little ones will trample on it. The path of the righteous is united, you smooth out the path of the righteous. Therefore we have waited for thee, O Lord, in the path of thy judgments; and it is towards your name and towards your memory that the desire of our soul tends. My soul has desired you during the night, and my spirit which is in me will seek you in the morning, for when your judgments are on the earth, the inhabitants of the earth learn righteousness.
Saint Jouin, safe haven against toothache, pray for me.
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, open this door for me, and receive my heart in this lovely abode: through it I reach the most intimate sanctuary of your love; and that there I may drink long drafts from this precious source of salvation, and wash my poor soul in this beneficial bath. May my soul, Lord, always rest on your sacred heart pierced with a lance, to forget in this holy asylum all the pains, all the troubles and all the pains of this world. I choose this salutary plague today, as the place of my action and my rest, so that I can always say with the Prophet: "This is my home for eternity; here I want to stay forever, because this is the retirement I have chosen. So be it.
