Saint Gerlach is invoked to be preserved from jaundice.
Saint Gerlach was born around 1110, in Holland. Married, he was unhappy in the household, but offered his disillusionment to God. After the death of his wife, he made the pilgrimage to the Holy Land, came back completely sanctified and, back in his country, lived as a hermit in solitude and prayer.
Saint Gerlach did many miracles and the fountain which sprang up at his request saw the sick pouring in who found healing there by drinking his water.

Invocation:
O God, who allow us to have recourse to your saints so that they may recommend us to your mercy, multiply on us the effects of your grace, and may this water, which you have made so beneficial for us through the prayers and the merits of Saint Gerlach, be to all of us a source of heavenly goods. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
May the salutary water of Saint Gerlach preserve us from all illnesses and unforeseen misfortunes.

Prayer:
The life of man is a relentless struggle; the pleasures of the world, the lusts of the flesh and the artifices of the devil deliver continual and harsh assaults to us: Almighty God, hasten to help us, grant us the grace to avoid the blows of so many enemies conjured against us. So be it.
