Saints
Saint Burchard is invoked for healing from gravel and kidney ailments. Saint Burchard was part of this phalanx of saints who left to evangelize Germany at the same time as Saint Boniface. His gentleness and patience, the tireless charity he showed to the pagan peoples he evangelized, drew him many conversions.
He died as a martyr, around 754, when he went with outstretched arms to meet his murderers to prevent them from committing murder at the very foot of the altar.
INVOCATION
Lord, God of goodness, multiply your grace for us, since you have been kind enough to multiply the number of our intercessors with you. Therefore, O my God, may we be assisted by Saint Burchard at the throne of your mercy, so that we may obtain our healing and bless your name. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.

PRAYER
Bow down, O my soul! At the foot of the cross, to adore your master there; and cry in astonishment, Who then is he whom heaven and earth weep, and whose death gives life to the dead? It is I Lord our God, Jesus Christ your Savior, the only and eternal Son of God, God of God, true God and true man at the same time, the only one under the sun who has been found righteous, innocent and spotless . And yet, see how he was counted among the evildoers, and rejected by the synagogue. Is there a more heartbreaking spectacle than seeing your Savior suffer the most dreadful torments on the cross? Do you see him, his arms stretched out on this curse wood, the object of the insults of all the wicked, and of the pain of all the faithful, shedding all his blood between two villains, and condemned to the most horrible death by the people whom he had chosen, and whose adoration and homage he deserved in so many ways. Bow down, O my soul. So be it.
