Saints
Saint Benedict of Aniane is invoked with great success by those who are sick or under the influence of evil spells. Those who invoked him received perfect health through his intercession. Saint Benedict of Aniane was born in Languedoc, in 750; he occupied at the Court of the kings of France, under Charlemagne and Pépin, of high functions.
His desire for God, however, led him to enter a monastery where he did considerable good by his example and the self-imposed mortifications. He died on February 11, 821, aged 71, edifying the monks by his serenity in the face of death.
Invocation
O God, whose mercy is without measure and whose goodness is infinite; we thank you for having given us a powerful intercessor in the person of your servant Saint Benedict of Aniane; do, Lord, that his merits and his prayers preserve us from all diseases and especially from all evil spells. So be it.
Saint Benedict of Aniane, very powerful intercessor against diseases and evil spells, always pray for us.
Prayer
If the devil sets traps for me, I throw myself into the open side of my good Savior, and the demon withdraws. If the fire of passions is kindled in me, I quench it by the thought of the wounds of the Son of God. In my temptations I find no more effective remedy than the wounds of Jesus. Christ died for us: nothing, because of this, can be so close to death that the death of Jesus heals him. The death of my Master is all my hope, my merit, my refuge, my salvation, my life and my resurrection. Yes, all my merit is in the mercy of God. In the wounds of my Redeemer I want to live and die. So be it.
