Invocation to Saint Amadour against memory loss and the healing of illnesses

Saint Amadour, who died around 340, is the first bishop of Troyes at the time of Constant I. The Trojan Breviary mentions this saint on the 1st day of May. While the name of Saint Amateur is known, the date of the founding of the bishopric is unknown. It probably dates from the promulgation of the Edict of Milan in 313 by the Roman Emperor Constantine I. Saint Amateur is generally invoked against memory loss.

We read in the martyrology of the Bollandists that in Amoback, Franconia, there is a fountain to which the prayers of Saint Amadour made God grant a marvelous virtue for the healing of the sick.
The devotion to Saint Amadour thus spread in France, where many localities rose under his name.

Invocation
May your saints help us everywhere, O Lord Jesus, and do, we beseech you, that in honoring here below the virtues and merits of Saint Amadour, we may experience the effectiveness of his prayers. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Amadour, who show you so favorable to the sick who implore you, pray for us and assist us with this salutary water.

O spotless Lamb of God, who did not open your mouth while your face was slapped and cursed at you, have mercy on me. So be it.
