I turn to you Saint John, whose fame exceeds all men of knowledge. What you write is true, for you serve the uncreated Word, the immortal Son of God. In these days of anguish, restore my frightened spirit and intelligence in the face of trial and strengthen my heart troubled by the spirits of anguish. Holy with the mouth of gold, you who know secrets from God and from heaven know wisdom; allow the angel of knowledge to guide me and his light to shine upon me, making my conscience clear and my memory faithful.
