O blessed Virgin Mary, who conceived the Son of God by the operation of the Holy Spirit, who bore him in your holy womb without pain and bore him without pain and without withering your virginity, I place myself under your maternal protection, begging you, through your divine Son Jesus, may it please you to preserve from all evil the fruit I bear in my womb and to obtain for me the grace that I may bring it into the world, so that it may reach the holy font of baptism, and one day be among the blessed in heaven.
I ask you very humbly, through Him who has freed you from the pains of childbirth, that you would soften the sorrows I must feel. I accept them in satisfaction for my sins and for the salvation of the child I carry in my womb, whom I dedicate to your service in union with that love with which you offer your divine child Jesus, as soon as You had conceived and given birth to him, to whom honour and glory be for ever and ever.
So be it.
