Prières d'exaltation
L’exaltation consiste à élever en gloire, à porter très haut la personne qui en est l’objet. En louant, nous exaltons, nous célébrons, nous proclamons hautement les gloires de la personne divine.
À l’abaissement de notre Sauveur, à son anéantissement volontaire, répond sa haute élévation, son exaltation par la droite de Dieu (Phil. 2:611 et Actes 2:33). Le considérant comme tel, élevé et placé très haut (És. 52:13), nos coeurs éprouvent des sentiments en accord avec sa position et l’exaltent. Israël pouvait dire à l’Éternel : «Il s’est hautement élevé... Il est mon Dieu, et je lui préparerai une habitation, le Dieu de mon père, et je l’exalterai» (Ex. 15:1, 2). «Éternel ! je t’exalterai, parce que tu m’as délivré» (Ps. 30:1).
«Exaltons ensemble son nom» (Ps. 34:3). Ainsi, lorsque nous nous adressons à Lui, individuellement ou collectivement, il convient d’exalter son beau nom qui lui a été donné au-dessus de tout nom.
