Psalm 88
1 Song. Psalm. Of the sons of Korea. From the singing master. For the disease. For affliction. Poem. From Hémân the native.
2 Yahweh, the God of my salvation, when I cry before you in the night,
3 May my prayer come to you, listen to my sobs.
4 For my soul is full of evils, and my life is on the edge of Sheol;
5 already counted as descended into the pit, I'm a finished man
6 Dismissed to the dead, like those who are slain in the grave, whom you no longer remember and who are cut off from your hand.
7 Thou hast put me in the depths of the pit, in darkness, in the depths;
8 weigh your anger upon me, you pour out all your waves.
9 Thou hast made my companions far from me; thou hast made me an abomination to them; I am locked up and cannot get out,

10 my eye is worn out by misfortune. I call you, Yahweh, all day long, I stretch out my hands to you
11 "For the dead do you do wonders, do the shadows rise to praise you?
12 Do they speak of your love in the grave, of your truth instead of perdition?
13 Do you know your wonders and your righteousness in the land of oblivion in the dark ...? "
14 And I cry to you, Yahweh, in the morning, my prayer warns you;
15 Why, Yahweh, do you reject my soul, hide your face far from me?
16 Unhappy and dying from my childhood, I have endured your fear, I am at the end of the line;
17 your anger has passed over me; your terror has reduced me to nothing.
18 They surround me like water all day long, close around me all together.
19 You separate friends and relatives from me; my company is darkness.

Psalms

There are 150 psalms in the Bible and they are attributed to King David. According to some beliefs, each psalm has a key, a secret, which, when used with the psalm, can solve a specific problem.

In the Koran, the Book of Psalms is called the Zabur.

Human beings are in a constant struggle on all levels against the forces of darkness, against the elements of nature and against their fellow human beings.

The psalms can be used by humans in this perpetual struggle against the forces of evil. With the psalms we can praise God, ask for the prosperity of the earth's goods, implore graces and blessings, ask for protection against enemies, defeat enemies, cure physical and spiritual illnesses, ask for help in court trials, for good luck, to ask for God's help in all circumstances, against fire, storms, storms, to have a good journey, etc.

It is important to know, as in everything we can undertake, to have FAITH. For FAITH lifts mountains. With faith, everything can succeed, whatever the obstacles.
