SaintsWe invoke Saint Barbara to be preserved from sudden death and also to have the grace of not dying without receiving the last sacraments. Saint Barbara is also invoked to be preserved from lightning. We can also ask Saint Barbara for the most diverse graces. Saint Barbara is one of the most popular saints in France and her statue is featured in many churches. Refusing energetically to sacrifice to the false gods, she suffered the most horrible tortures and died, it is said, beheaded by her father himself.
Invocation:
O Lord God, who elected Saint Barbara for the consolation of the living and the dying, grant us the grace to obtain, by our veneration and by our confidence for this holy martyrdom, all the favors that she asked you for her faithful servants, before his glorious death. We beseech you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Barbara, who is the hope of the sick and the dying to obtain eternal salvation for them, pray for us.
