O Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows,
Afflicted Mother with a Heart pierced by seven swords,
You who knew sorrow in Your flesh and in Your soul,
You who saw Your Son suffer on the Cross,
You understand our tears; You know our wounds.
Today, I come to lay my suffering at Your feet,
And that of all those who are weeping at this moment.
Our Lady of Sorrows,
1. By the sorrow of Simeon’s prophecy,
2. By the sorrow of Your flight into Egypt,
3. By the sorrow of losing Jesus in the Temple,
4. By the sorrow of meeting Jesus on the way to Calvary,
5. By the sorrow of seeing Jesus die on the Cross,
6. By the sorrow of receiving His lifeless body in Your arms,
7. By the sorrow of laying Him in the tomb,
Have mercy on us, Mother.
Wipe away our tears,
Soothe our aching bodies and hearts,
Transform our sorrows into a path of healing and peace.
O Sorrowful Mother, yet Mother of Hope,
Intercede for us with Your Son Jesus,
May He raise us up, heal us, and console us.
