God of tenderness and mercy, we are grateful to you for this new day that you have allowed us to see despite our sins. Enlighten our thoughts and our hearts, so that we may always put you first in our lives.
God our Father, after forty years of slavery, you chose Moses to free the people of Israel from Pharaoh's captivity in Egypt.
