Virgin Mary, Our Lady of the Annunciation, I love to contemplate you in the silence of prayer. Everything in you is enveloped in silence and prayer.
Virgin Mary, Our Lady of the Annunciation, when, in the silence of my home, I feel alone, perhaps even isolated, open wide the door of my heart to the Lord. May the words of the Angel resound in my life, as they resounded in yours: "Rejoice!" "The Lord is with you."
O Our Lady of the Annunciation, may I, too, truly rejoice in this good news: "The Lord is with you"? May I truly be rejoiced by this exclamation of the Angel, received by so many men and women facing a perilous or difficult mission.
Today, I want to hear these words of the Angel to rejoice in the presence of the Lord in my home, in my life, instead of leaving myself to sadness and loneliness.
I want to hear these words with you, Virgin Mary, to welcome Jesus by faith in the shadow of the Holy Spirit, Spirit of peace and prayer.
I want to carry Jesus within me with tenderness like you. O Virgin of the Annunciation, bring me into the openness of your heart. I am sure that Jesus, your Son, will fulfill and exceed my expectations with his presence. Amen.
