Psalm 21 is the one that Christ prayed on the Cross. He cried out the verse "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?", which is why we can make it our own on the day of trial.

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? *
Salvation is far from me, far from the words I roar.

My God, I call all day long, but you do not answer, *
even at night I have no rest.

Yet you are holy, you who dwell in the hymns of Israel!
Our fathers hoped in you,
they hoped and you delivered them.
When they cried out to you, they escaped;
in you they hoped and were not disappointed.

And I'm a worm, not a man,
mocked by the people, rejected by the people.
All who see me scorn me,
they sneer and shake their heads:
"He was counting on the Lord: let him deliver him!
May he save him, since he is his friend!"

You brought me from my mother's womb,
who placed me safely in her arms.
To you I was entrusted from my birth;
from my mother's womb, you are my God.

Don't be far away: anguish is near,
I have no one to help me.
Numerous wild beasts surround me,
the bulls of Bashan surround me.
Lions that tear and roar
open their mouths against me.

I am like water spreading,
all my limbs break apart.
My heart is like wax
it melts in the midst of my bowels.
My strength has dried up like clay,
my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth.

You lead me to the dust of death.

Yes, dogs surround me,
a band of scoundrels surround me.
They pierce my hands and feet;
I can count all my bones.

These people see me, they look at me.
They divide my clothes between them
and cast lots for my garment.

But you, Lord, are not far away:
O my strength, come quickly to my aid!
Preserve my life from the sword,
snatch me from the claws of the dog;
save me from the lion's mouth
and from the horn of the buffalo.

You have answered me!
And I proclaim your name before my brothers,
I praise you in the assembly.

You who fear him, praise the Lord.
glorify him, all you descendants of Jacob
Fear him, all you descendants of Israel.

For he has not rejected
he has not reproved the poor in their misery;
he has not hidden his face from him,
but he hears his complaint.
You will be my praise in the great assembly;
I will keep my promises to those who fear you.
The poor shall eat; they shall be satisfied;
those who seek the Lord will praise him:
"Life and joy are yours for ever!"

The whole earth will remember
and will return to the Lord,
every family of nations will bow down before him:
"Yes, to the Lord be royalty,
power over the nations!

All those who were feasting bow down,
promised death, they bow before him.

And I live for him: my descendants will serve him;
They will proclaim the Lord to the generations to come.
His righteousness shall be proclaimed to the people to be born:
This is his work!

to God

To God, the being above all, nothing is impossible. Everything is possible with him. Whatever difficulties you find yourself in, trust in him, have faith. Pray to him and he will answer you.

Prayers addressed directly to God do not go through any intermediary. He receives them as they are. Some people prefer this type of prayer where they speak, in their hearts, directly to God.

God is present everywhere. Within us and without us. Even when we think we are alone, he is there. He sees us, he listens to us. He knows us better than we know ourselves.

Like a good father with his children, he is compassionate, merciful and always ready to forgive us our failings and sins.

Let us entrust ourselves to him, ask him for the grace to be a reflection of his love for mankind. Let us entrust ourselves to him and be attentive to the different signs and messages that he sends us every day, within us or outside us through our fellow human beings.

Psalms

There are 150 psalms in the Bible and they are attributed to King David. According to some beliefs, each psalm has a key, a secret, which, when used with the psalm, can solve a specific problem.

In the Koran, the Book of Psalms is called the Zabur.

Human beings are in a constant struggle on all levels against the forces of darkness, against the elements of nature and against their fellow human beings.

The psalms can be used by humans in this perpetual struggle against the forces of evil. With the psalms we can praise God, ask for the prosperity of the earth's goods, implore graces and blessings, ask for protection against enemies, defeat enemies, cure physical and spiritual illnesses, ask for help in court trials, for good luck, to ask for God's help in all circumstances, against fire, storms, storms, to have a good journey, etc.

It is important to know, as in everything we can undertake, to have FAITH. For FAITH lifts mountains. With faith, everything can succeed, whatever the obstacles.
