All prayers Prayers of Exaltation
Exaltation consists in raising up in glory, in carrying very high the person who is the object of it. In praising, we exalt, we celebrate, we proclaim loudly the glories of the divine person.
To the humiliation of our Savior, to his voluntary annihilation, corresponds his high elevation, his exaltation by the right hand of God (Phil. 2:611 and Acts 2:33). Considering Him as such, raised and placed very high (Isa. 52:13), our hearts experience feelings in accordance with his position and exalt him. Israel could say to the Lord: "He is highly exalted... He is my God, and I will prepare for him a dwelling place, the God of my father, and I will exalt him" (Ex. 15:1, 2). "O Lord, I will exalt thee, because thou hast delivered me" (Ps. 30:1).
“Let us exalt his name together” (Ps. 34:3). So when we address Him, individually or collectively, it is fitting to exalt his beautiful name which has been given to him above every name.
