Saints
John Opilion the Blessed lived in Mouchy-Le-Preux, not far from Arras, where he performed countless miraculous healings during his lifetime and after his death.
It is always in Mouchy-le-Preux that he is honored and that the faithful come to ask for their healing, mainly those who suffer from bladder stones. It is invoked more particularly by making novenas. This saint seems to love the charity shown towards the poor.
INVOCATION
O God, who wanted Blessed John Opilion to teach us to bless your name by obtaining for us through his prayers the healing we seek; also, O infinitely good God, that, by his intercession, we one day deserve to contemplate you in the midst of your saints. We beg you by N.-S. AD So be it.
Blessed John Opilion, special patron of those afflicted with stone disease, pray for us and help us.
PRAYER
Lord, who said to your mother: "Woman, here is your son", and to John, your disciple: "Here is your mother", grant that by loving you faithfully I may always be united with your holy Mother. So be it.
