Novena Padre Pio
Every day:
O Jesus, who said, "Verily I say unto you, ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you:" Behold, I knock and seek and ask for grace...
Pater, Ave, Gloria.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust and hope in you.
O Jesus, who said: "Truly, I say to you, whatever you ask my Father in my Name, he will grant it to you," behold, in your Name I ask for grace ...
Pater, Ave, Gloria.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust and hope in you.
O Jesus, who said, "Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away," behold, relying on the infallibility of your holy words, I ask for grace ...
Pater, Ave, Gloria.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust and hope in you.
Prayer: O Sacred Heart of Jesus, to whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the unfortunate, have mercy on us, poor sinners, and grant us the grace we ask of you, through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our tender Mother.
Saint Joseph, adoptive father of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, pray for us.
Salve Regina.

Padre Pio of Pietrelcina (real name Francesco Forgione) was born on 25 May 1887 in Pietrelcina, Italy and died on 23 September 1968 in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy.
He was a Catholic priest of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin.
Barely a year after his ordination in 1910, red marks began to appear on his hands and feet, which would later become the stigmata of Christ (the marks of the wounds on the body of Jesus Christ) in 1918.
In addition to these stigmata, which made him popular, Padre Pio had the gift of bilocation, the power to be in two different places at the same time. There are many accounts of special gifts he received from God.
Padre Pio is celebrated every 23 September. He was beatified on 2 May 1999 and canonised on 16 June 2002.
Speaking of Padre Pio, Pope Benedict XVI said on 21 June 2009 that he "continued the work of Christ, that of announcing the Gospel, forgiving sins and healing the sick in body and spirit... The strongest storms that threatened him were the assaults of the Devil, against which he defended himself with the armour of God, with the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God. Always united to Jesus, he always took into account the depth of the human drama for which he offered himself and his many sufferings, and he knew how to spend himself to heal and relieve the sick, a privileged sign of God's mercy... To guide souls and relieve suffering, this is how we can sum up the mission of Saint Pio of Pietralcina".
