God our Father, reconciliation and forgiveness
can only come from you.

So grant us the grace of forgiveness,
the strength to be reconciled
with those under our roof
with those who are far away:
the spouse who has left,
the child who has broken ties.

Make us love our enemies.
Do not let the sun set
on a grudge or anger in our hearts.
Give us the grace of the first step
and we will be like You.
